The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University, presents a Carve and Paint a Hunting Decoy Seminar with Bill Veasey and Shannon Dinmig, Saturday-Sunday, March 13-14, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Students use a variety of carving and painting techniques to carve and paint a hunting decoy. Participants are encouraged to enter their finished birds in the 2010 Chesapeake Challenge. This workshop is open to beginner and intermediate carvers. Cost is $80 for members, $95 for non-members and $70 for youth ages 13-18. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.

The Lower Shore Parkinson's Support Group will hold its first meeting Wednesday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, 1324 Belmont Ave, Suite 401, Salisbury, MD 21804.

Individuals suffering from Parkinson's Disease and their caregivers are invited to attend this formative meeting. The group plans to meet monthly on the third Wednesday. In addition to group discussions and mutual support, meetings may include speakers on a variety of educational subjects such as exercise, nutrition, and new developments in the research and treatment of Parkinson's Disease.
The agenda for this first meeting includes:
· Update on PRMC's Neuroscience Strategic Plan by Warner Crumb, Executive Director of Orthopedics and Neurosciences.
· A support group success story. The Sussex County Parkinson's Education and Support Group is one year old with 120 members and some good ideas. Dennis Leebel, founder of the group, will help us get on the right track.
